The Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced the list of national 4A-level tourist attractions, and the Wuhan Iron and Steel Cultural Tourism Area in Qingshan District, Wuhan City, was included. This makes it the seventh steel company to be promoted to national 4A-level tourist attraction, following Delong Steel, Shaanxi Steel Longgang, Fangda Special Steel, Fujian Sansteel, Baowu Meigang, and Baosteel (Baoshan Base). Located within the Wuhan Iron and Steel plant area, the tourism area is based on the No. 1 blast furnace, the "1.7-meter" rolling mill project, and the "cradle of Chinese silicon steel," and is grounded in the "Ten-Mile Steel City, Red Steel and Green Park" ecological enterprise park, integrating red gene culture, steel industry culture, green ecological culture, and blue science culture. The No. 1 blast furnace and the "1.7-meter" rolling mill project were respectively designated as "National Industrial Heritage" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2021 and 2024, and the Wuhan Iron and Steel Cultural Tourism Area was designated as a "National Industrial Tourism Demonstration Base" in 2023.
